3 Touchdowns and a Field Goal lead to the 24-10 Win

JERSEY SHORE -- A football game broke out (almost literally) on the softball field Tuesday night. In the end, cooler heads prevailed, and an entertaining, competitive game was closer than the score board would indicate.

Coming off their win earlier in the night, the Bond St GFY's had a little swagger and extra pep in their step. Left fielder Ryan played a solid defense all night and added 5 RBI during a 3-3 game. Third baseman Gerard was a double short of the cycle and hit the 2 furthest shots all evening. Centerfielder Charlie played his usual excellent D in left-center.

As for Make it a Double, Dave Gurney squared up a couple you can hear go by on the way to a 4 for 4, 3 run game. Todd Nilsen was 3-4, scoring 3 and driving in 2 more. Sure-handed shortstop Brian Dombrowski made all the plays necessary to end any Bond St rally.

But again it was Sean Murphy (4-4, 4R, 6RBI) who would deliver the biggest hit of the night and take home Player of the Game honors. With the game within reach at 13-7 and momentum starting to move to Bond St, Murphy got up with 2 outs and the bases juiced. He delivered a rocket inside the park grand slam to right that would seal the W.
