Hoboken,NJ-- In the Kirby Puckett Division, we expected a "clash of the titans" between Riverfront and McSwiggans Pub.

The Ballbusters were the visiting team and struck first. They put up 4 runs in the first inning with one HR from Vinny Menechino. He would have 2 blasts, a way way back, for the day.

The slugfest continued in the 4th inning when Riverfront had an 11 run inning, fueled by Pete Kenelly's 3 run homer, giving them a comfortable 18 to 2 lead. I mean....Wow. They came to play.

The Swigs showed signs of life by responding with a 3 run homer of their own from Dan Lyons, making it an 18-5 game. In the 5th inning both teams snuck in 2 runs, Riverfront did it with small ball and McSwiggans did it with a 2 run bomb from Corey Brown.

But those 2 runs were not enough to prevent McSwiggans from getting trounced 20-7 to Riverside, with the mercy rule applied. Both teams battled hard, but we can only have one winner. Congratulations to the Riverfront Ballbusters - the Kirby Puckett Division Champs!
