Finally, a rain free Sunday! Nu Heights & Balls Deep split a 2 game series. Game 1 was a good match-up! Balls Deep never trailed through 7 innings rocking 15 total runs. Leading the way was the 1 & 2 hitters, Zach B & Anthony A. who combined went 6 for 10 w/ 2 walks & 3 RBI’s. Rock R. batting clean up went 2 for 5 w/ 4 RBI’s to add to the total. The MVP for Balls Deep was Pitcher Kris Y. who had “9” K’s, in a addition to his 2 doubles & 2 RBI’s! Nu Heights kept it close scoring 7 runs in the first innings. Homering for the team was Nelson & Gallo! Sergio the Pitcher had a nice game at the plate going 3 for 3 w/ a Walk & 2 RBI’s. Nu Heights just couldn’t get much going in the 7th inning scoring “0”. Final Score in Game 1 - Balls Deep – 15. Nu Heights -10.
Nu Heights rallied big time in Game 2 scoring 9 runs in the first two innings. The team had 3 Home Runs thanks to the bats of Gallo, George & Bruno. In fact, every batter for Nu Heights had at least 1 hit in the game. They were up 12 to 2 through 4 innings & never looked back scoring 15 total runs. Balls Deep struggled to get much going after their Game 1 run, scoring only 4 runs through 7 innings. Kris Y. gets a honorable mention for his solid eye at the plate drawing 2 Walks, which results in 2 Runs for the team!. Scary moment for Nu Heights Pitcher Sergio when a line drive rocked part of his finger late in the game! Many weren’t sure if he needed a beer or a hug after that one. He was “ok” & got the win!
