ABBB Takes Home Third ABL Title

JERSEY CITY, April 18 -  Anytime Bail Bonds Ballers is making a habit of winning championships no matter what their team name is. Their first two were as D2 Forged, now as ABBB they start a new legacy.

Their opponent Monstars might have lost the big game, but they did manage to dethrone a long reigning king that has been holding dominion over the ABL for two years.

Their defeat of UC Slaughterhouse in the semi-finals was evidence to their talent on the hardwood. They are the only team that has ever handed UC Slaughter a loss in two seasons. Even the new crowned champions ABBB have suffered losses by the hands of UC Slaughter.

As for the Championship played last night it appeared the momentum that Monstars had going into the game was carrying over.

The first half started out with ABBB taking a quick ten point lead, and the Monstars taking it right back by going on a 12-0 run and advance into the lead themselves.

Steve Maneri and Justin Maneri were doing all the right things in the paint. It is hard to keep up on rebounds with ABBB with the likes of 6 foot 7 center Robert Cheeks lurking under the basket, but the Maneris can hang with the best of em.

The score stayed close in the first half at 26-20 for ABBB, but the second half is when ABBB started to lean on the Monstars and put them under pressure.

It was Corey Stokes doing most of the leaning as he had a big 25 point night. With Stokes starting to heat up, it forced the Monstars to start taking some lower percentage shots from the outside. Any misses that were not rebounded by Monstars started turning into points for ABBB, and the momentum Monstars had going in ran out of steam as ABBB took them down 66-42.

Another Winter season in the books. Records were broken, streaks ended and another ABL Champion has been crowned. Congratulations Anytime Bailbonds Ballers on your third ABL hoops Championship.
