UC Slaughterhouse Extends Streak

HOBOKEN, January 15 - A little more than a year ago UC Slaughterhouse took home an ABL Basketball Title in an astonishing undefeated season.  They have returned to defend their title in a 2016 Winter season that is chock full of recent champions from seasons past.

It seemed they may lose their streak in their first game of the season to a gritty bunch of newbies named Hustle and Flow

Hustle and Flow's team captain Dennis McInerney is fresh of a 2015 Fall flag football championship with his team Wolves of Willow, and has put together a basketball squad to make a run for a multi-sport glory run.

It seemed that dream was going to start off on the right foot as Hustle and Flow had UC Slaughterhouse scrambling in the early goings of their contest. Hustle and Flow had a commanding lead within the first ten minutes, but UC Slaughter took a timeout, regrouped and went utterly ballistic from that point forward.

The first half finished with UC Slaughter up 36-38 and the key shooters for UC were starting to heat up big time.

John Agurto proved to be a reliable and steady sniper from beyond the arc with seven three-pointers on his way to a huge 33 point night. As if that wasn't enough teammate Vic Verdiza blew up for 29 points as well.

Hustle and Flow played very well and managed to put up a solid point total, but lost to the juggernaut squad of UC Slaughter 89-72.
