EMF, Prime Time, Bergeters and Wolves of Willow Advance

HOBOKEN, December 1 - The South Flag Division Playoffs will commence next Wednesday night with four teams moving on to battle out for the right to play in the championship game.

EMF stood their ground as the big one seed and dispatched eighth seeded Wet Bandits with ease, and will roll onto play the Bergeters who pulled off a huge upset over the Humongous Melonheads last night with a razor thin 20-18 win.

The Bergeters strolled into this game an underdog as the seventh seed while the Melonheads were seated comfortably at the second seed.

The fourth seeded Wolves of Willow also dispatched the fifth seeded Power Pack.

The highest remaining seeds will now square off against the lowest remaining seeds to play for the right to play in the ABL South Championship game December 7th.

EMF will square off against Bergeters in the second round. The Bergeters have to be riding high right now after a clutch game from their QB Frank Scacciaferro last night

Frank tossed three TD's, two to Cliff Shafer, against the Melonheads with no picks. He will have to repeat this effort against EMF, because one mistake could be the difference between going for the big title or walking home sad and somber.

EMF proved in their first game that they are here to win it all. The entire team went ballistic in the first round and they will be soaring with confidence.

They boast a solid QB rush as Nick Camerato posted seven sacks in the regular season and a solid 1-2 punch at WR with Jon Verpent and Josh Schaner. All in all they are a well balanced heady team

Prime Time will face off against the Wolves of Willow to round out the Southern Playoff.

Prime Time has been a beast on both sides of the ball. QB Alfredo Carillo is like a man playing two positions on offense QB and RB.

His ability to scramble is off the charts, and if given the option to run for a few yards on a blitz he takes off like a rocket with a broken fin whirling all over the field confusing everyone in his path.

Prime Time plays some old school ball as they have eight rushing touchdowns on the season.

On the defensive side Omar Ahmed is a nightmare for opposing QB's. He finished the regular season with eight sacks, and he already has seven in the post-season from one game.

He will need to be on the ball against the Wolves because Isai Carillo is accurate, careful and shifty. Carillo only threw two picks all season and tossed 33 scores.

He is not finicky about his targets either. He spreads the ball around to a bevy of talented pass catchers, but his main threat is Dennis McInerny who can play slot or outside and pick up massive chunks of yards.
