10th & Willow Pulls out a Win with Backup QB

Last nights match up between Tenth and Willow and The Bonnet Shore Legends didn't hold a dull moment.

Both teams for one thing most certainly played as a team as stats were spread across both ends of the board. The competitive energy running high caused some head bumping between opponents, but all in good fun and hustle of the game. The quarterback for Willow was not the usual, but Devin Levesque stepped in and stepped up with 13 completions out of 23 attempts.

Devin and Jimmy Principe had a 1-2 punch momentum going in the end zone with 3 long receiving touch downs! Billy Bullock lead with 5 receptions and hard hustle.

Chris Markey was determined to get a sack and he succeeded! James Hill contributed with 4 receptions and an ReTD as well. Ki Johnson's interception lead him to a touchdown also that did not go unnoticed. Bonnet Shores QB had a 50-50 completion rate. Anthony Frasciello for the Bonnet shores contributed 5 receptions, but the player that stood out the most on the Shores was Andrew Solomon whom contributed 5 receptions as well, along with 2 ReTD's. Solomon's catches were always big ones. Up against real pressure he was fighting through, still grabbing receptions after collisions and being knocked to the ground, he didn't complain.

Willow was in the lead majority of this match, but there was a turn in the final minutes making this all seem fair game late in the second half with the score being 24, Willow, and 19 Shores. After taking it up a notch in just a short few minutes, Shores just didn't have enough time to pull it out. Willow made a couple more big catches, leaving the score to be 38 Tenth and Willow and 19 Bonnet Shores.
