Through 5 innings it looked like Forbes Capital would pull out the victory, leading Hoboken Softball Club 2-1 in a defensive battle.

However, in the top of the 6th inning Hoboken Softball Club would erupt, scoring 8 runs behind a grand slam homerun by Keith Shaffer.  They would go on to win by a final score of 9-4.

For the Softball Club, Andrea Rommel, Keith Shaffer, JP Byrne, and Craig Roth all had 2 hits on the night. Shannon Kinney also had 3 singles and 2 runs scored.

For Forbes Capital Zach Greenberg went 3-3 on the night with a double and two singles and Noah Isaacs and Kim Kurrata had two hits a piece.

Softball Club is now 1-1 and Forbes Capital drops to 0-2.  Hoboken Softball Club returns to action on Oct. 4th, while Forbes Capital will play a doubleheader on Oct. 11th.
