Returning Spring champions Hudson River Crossfit are back on the warpath with a revamped team that may even be stronger than the original. First on the docket for the champs was Hoboken Softball Club. 

It was unclear through four innings, which team would make a move first, Hudson River Crossfit or Hoboken Softball Club.

Crossfit lead 2-1 in the 1st, but for the next three innings neither team would add to that run total.  It wasn't until the bottom of the 5th inning when Crossfit's bats came alive. Vinny Menechino, the odds on favorite for Hoboken Spring C League MVP, knocked in 2 runs and Mike Galanti scored on a costly error made by Hoboken Softball Club giving Crossfit a 5-1 lead.

Softball Club was unable to answer the rally and Crossfit scored 2 more in the 6th inning to win by a final score of 7-1.

Pete K. and Michael Galanti each had two hits on the night for Crossfit, including a two-run homer by Pete K.  Mike P. and Julia Penkal each had two hits for the Softball Club.
