Mongo Nation asserted their dominance on offense and defense Monday night.

The team tallied 14 runs on 19 hits in their 14-2 victory, while holding Forbes Capital to only 4 hits and 2 runs.

Mongo jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first inning and never looked back.  Rob Irving and Nick Shaver had 5 and 4 RBIs repspectively.  Brian Shaver, Nick Steger., Holly S., and Andrew P. all had 3 hits a piece on the night.

For Forbes Capital Chris Smith had a double and an RBI and Randall Lane, Mark Decker, and Zach G also notched hits.

Mongo Nation (1-0) has certainly impressed in their first few seasons with the ABL. Their next opponent will be the veteran Angry Ale House Leprechauns on Sunday September 27th at 6:30PM. 

Forbes Capital (0-1) will go onto face Hoboken Softball Club (0-1) on Monday September 28th at 7:15PM.
