LINDEN. AUGUST 26 - The A-Team, who was already up by one game in the three game series, and Garwood Rest put the debate for Warinanco Park bragging rights to rest Tuesday evening.
Both teams matched each other in the first inning with three runs a piece, and for the most part the score did not change, and it seemed the championship game was in a defensive grid-lock.
Garwood Rest vs. A-Team
In the fifth inning the A-Team exploded offensively though. Dave from the A-Team, who already had a home run in the game started off the scoring bonanza with an RBI triple.
The rest of the A-Team lineup was ignited and five runs came across the plate in the fifth inning. The big inning put the A-Team up by a margin that could only be deemed a daunting task.
The final result was an 11-4 score as the A-Team managed to keep Garwood Rest in check for the remainder of the game.
Congratulation to the A-Team on their victory and another trophy added to their already full trophy case.
