Arsenal and FS Hitmen Split Series, 13 is Magic Number

LEONIA, Augsust 25 - FS Hitmen and Arsenal are both coming of fantastic seasons from the Summer and now they meet up in the Fall, one team with a fresh new name and a new look in Arsenal, and another poised to add some luster to their long standing traditions of victory in FS Hitmen.

In FS Hitmen's home game they scored inning after inning and never let up on Arsenal. In the fourth inning the Hitmen jumped ahead in a major fashion with a four runs giving them a sturdy 7-2 lead.

Juan Perdomo was the star for the Hitmen on the day with three RBI on a single hit and teamate Iggy Rodriguez also was a catalyst in the win going three for three with three singles and two runs driven in.

They would go onto win 13-6 and improve to 1-3 on the season.

In Arsenal's home game the FS Hitmen came out busting it with four runs in the first, but were shut down through the next three frames by some solid Arensal defense.

Arsenal put up two runs in the first inning, and three in the third, but it was the fifth inning that vaulted them into the safety zone as six runners passed over the dish.

MVP of the day for Arsenal was hands down new comer Mike Matrucci who finished the day four for four with a staggering six RBI, which was good for almost half the team's entire run total at once again...13.

Arsenal improved to 3-1 on the season after the split and sit firmly in the top half of the standings. The double header win for FS Hitmen was their first win of the season as they now stand at 1-3
