LEONIA, July 14 - It was a very easy win in the first game for the SOP -NJ, one of the leagues best teams this spring,with a 16 - 4 victory. But the Monarch's put in a total team effort and can right back in the second game with an 18 - 6 victory.
With each team scoring a total of 22 runs in both contests the season would come down to the rubber game of this match up! And the SOP - NJ team held it's ground and produced five homers to come away with a 17- 6 win.
For it's effects they are awarded additional games at the next level in the playoffs. The big bat of Alex Aitkens of the SOP-NJ's made the difference in the final game with 3 hits, including a homerun and
driving in 5 RBI's.
