A Look at the Playoff Seeds and Final Stat Leaders

HOBOKEN, July 1 - The ABL Spring Basketball Regular Season has come to a close, and it is time to look at some of our top performers and playoff seeds.

The Playoffs are set to start on July 12th with Goodfellas vs Cooper's Union at 6:00PM, and Below the Rim vs Wolfpack at 7:00PM. The Championship game is set for July 19th at 6:00PM.

1. GOODFELLAS

Holding the top position is Goodfellas who finished the season with a 7-1 record.  Goodfellas certainly earned this spot as they man-handled the competition this season with a barrage of three-point shots from Ahsan Jamil, stifling defense from Tymel Jackson, strength in the paint from Rick Mathis and great vision from Corey Edwards and Kevin Johnson

2. BELOW THE RIM

Below the Rim holds the second seed  with a 6-2 record, and features that gruesome twosome of Mike Griesen and Mike Popper. Popper was an absolute beast this season as he dons the top spot in almost every league wide stat category.

3. WOLFPACK

In the third position stands the Wolfpack. The pack is one of the most balanced team in the league. They do not rely on one player to carry them to victory, but rather play as well oiled machine that is very hard to deal with in the paint with strong forwards who can drive and score at will.

4. COOPER'S UNION 3'S & T'S

Bringing up the final spot is Cooper's Union 3's & T's. The Union features an extremely deep bench filled with players who can score. While most teams will be a bit winded in fast-paced games, the Union will be well rested, and not have to sacrifice scoring ability in the process.

LEAGUE LEADERS

Finally, a look at the regular season stats and the players who stand high atop the lists of categories. Congratulations to all our playoff teams and best of luck to all in the upcoming games.
