Jason Orr Vaults Slingers to Championship with One Giant Swing

HOBOKEN, June 30 - Familiar foes Slingers and Farkle suited up for a semi-final playoff game that was a blockbuster of an event Monday night.

Farkle took the first lead in the contest in the top of the third inning with a three RBI shot from Rob Lennon, who had a very good game for his team going 3 for 5 with 4 RBI and a run scored.

The Slingers would answer in the bottom of the inning with a run of their own in the bottom of the third off a Jesse Duanno solo shot. One of his two homers on the night on the way to a 4 RBI night of his own

Slingers and Farkle would trade blows inning after inning bringing the game to the bottom of the ninth with Slingers down by a mere two runs.

James Amadeo would lead off the inning with a walk followed by a single for Ryan Hall and team captain Jason Orr was due up at the plate in a pivotal moment as he represented the winning run at the dish.

Orr stepped in with intent to demolish that poor little clincher and give his team a win, and he did just that as his team roared with excitement as the ball soared over the left center field wall for an amazing walk off three run shot to win the game and advance Slingers into the championship final. Orr also picked a win as the pitcher of record.

Truly an MVP moment for the Slinger's captain and an absolutely astonishing finish to a well played game by both teams.
