Scrape City Makes it Through Season Without a Loss

HOBOKEN, June 29 - Scape City came into this season as the favorites in the ABL Spring Flag Football Season. Fast forward three months, and they hold that same distinction approaching the playoffs.

The reason they hold that distinction is they did not suffer a single loss, as they put a bow on their season Sunday afternoon with a victory over Bonnet Shore Legends 33-31 to finish 8-0.

Scrape City can accredit their fantastic season to many factors. Most great teams and great players exhibit a trait that will eat their competition up, and that trait is confidence, and Scrape has that in spades.

Though what is confidence if you can't back up your own lofty expectations? Well they certainly did that as a few of their players littered the league leader categories.

Derrick Stroble Jr. was absolutely the most dynamic quarterback in the league this season with a %68.9 completion percentage, 133 completions and 33 passing touchdowns to just just 11 interceptions. Stroble also snuck in two more touchdowns on the ground.

As if that was not enough he also contributed four interceptions on defense, but if you want to talk about Scrape D you have to talk about Dennis Guillen

Dennis was an absolute beast on defense this year with 16 sacks and two interceptions. Opposing teams would literally have to change the way they play offense just because of Guillen, and that alone is quite a feat.

Rob Johnson displayed those rare defensive soft hands on the Scape D as well finishing with a team high 6 interceptions.

As for the receiving crew, Stroble managed to spread the ball around well this season, but his favorite target was Michael Feliciano with 39 receptions and 8 scores. Feliciano was flanked by Junior Abrahams who hauled 31 passes and scored 5 times.

There is no debating it, this is the team to beat hands down. The playoff teams know what Scrape can do but can they stop it? Congratulations on a perfect season fellas.
