Klowns and Kekambas Play Two Close Games

When you have two teams each scoring 20 total runs in a 2 game series, one might expect very competitive men's softball games.  Well, that's exactly what the Kiewit Klowns and the Kekambas provided on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

After 14 innings of play, each team left the field with a win and a loss.
In the first game, the Kekambas out scored the Kiewit Klowns 9 to 8.  And the Kiewit Klowns turned down the Kekambas in a 12 to 11 victory in the second game.

For the winning Kekambas, Sean Naylor, Billy Fitzpatrick and Emerick Lassalle each produced 2 hits each with Emerick Lassalle driving in 4 RBI's in this game.  Michael Perry was the winning pitcher.

For the Kiewit Klowns Andrew Cardamone and Aaron Williams had 3 for 4 at bats.  Trevor Fenton , Jake Chadwick and Andrew Cardamone each had 2 RBI's in the losing cause.

In the second game, the Kiewit Klowns had to go into the bottom of the 7th inning with a very close play at the plate to tie the game at 10 each!  Their next batter, Trevor Fenton, who had been 3 for 3 previously at bat, came through with the clutch hit to score the winning run in this come-from-behind win.  Antonio Upia also helped out with his 3 for 3 at the plate.
Team captain, Jay Pearce was the winning pitcher.

For the Kekambas, Billy Fitzpatrick, Evan Piwowaeski, Michael "Sims" Simeone and Dave " Milz" Milne  each went 3 for 4 in this game.  After a slow start the Kekembas in the late innings started playing "A-B-C" small ball to mount their comeback. But, it was not enough to hold off the spirited Kiewit Klowns team, which had 3 players cross the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning for a 12 - 11 Kiewit Klowns thrilling victory.
