Mike Popper has Monumental Game

JERSEY CITY, June 2 - Below the Rim is back for another season and after last night's performance they have put themselves on the map as a team that can cause some serious match up problems

Last season it was Mike Griesen who proved to be a major problem for opposing teams to control from all areas of the floor, but Mike Popper proved to be a major problem for Chanticleers last night. When Chanticleers started to double team him, it just created space for other players to score.

Despite a fairly even first half with a score of 25-30 in favor of BTR the end result was BTR washing the floor with Chanticleers with a 62-44 score with Popper being responsible for almost half of the points scored for BTR with 31.

If Popper truly has arisen as a major threat on BTR with the aid of sharp shooting Mike Griesen this team has a real shot to take home some hardware.

The big game has moved Popper into the number one spot on the ABL scoring list.
