LEONIA, May 17 -The Kiewit Klowns faced off against the Stallions in their first game Sunday in what started off a close match.

Coming in the first inning with 2 runs and then picking up speed towards the 5th, the Klowns scored a total of 16 runs defeating the Stallions by a whopping 8 runs. The team’s 7th inning was a hard pill to swallow for the Stallions in which all but 2 of the Klowns' batters didn’t pull in a run.

Quickly gearing up, the Stallions began the second game off with a tough start letting the Klowns take the lead with 4 runs, thanks to a run by Jay Pearce and Andrew Cardamone’s subsequent home run bringing in himself and two other teammates.

The Stallions energy remained strong and the player’s enthusiasm made up for what lacked in runs. Forging on, as the game neared the 4th inning, the Klowns shut down the race scoring a whopping 8 runs and turning up the heat.

As the season nears the playoffs, it’s safe to say the Klowns don’t mess around.
