Getcha' Popcorn Ready Dominates without Star QB

HOBOKEN, October 20 - Getcha' Popcorn Ready and Dirty Dawgs met up in Hoboken for some crisp weather football Monday night.

The Dirty Dawgs were simply stifled on offense by the nagging pressure of Getcha' Popcorn's defense.

QB Grant Greenburg was under constant duress, and had little time to make his reads down the field. Greenberg managed one TD pass in game to Jason Scherr in the second half for the Dawgs.

Getcha' Popcorn was without star quarterback Lou Vigliotti, but somehow they did not miss a beat in this game.

Christian Vercollone stepped in for Lou Vig and did an absolutely fantastic job. Vercollone brought a completely different style to the field as he went with a more mobile approach to the position. Vercollone rushed in one TD and threw for four more in the contest.

He did employ some of the same tactics as the normal starting QB, as he relied heavily on center/WR Nick Campbell to gain his first downs and key yardage.

The final score was 33-6 in favor of Getcha' Popcorn.

The game was a testament to the overall prowess of Getcha Popcorn. Lou Vig has long been one of, if not the best QB in the league, but team chemistry and a bevy of talented pass catchers apparently plays a big role in his success.
